The Fungi Series is a series of 3D printed objects that were created during my bachelor’s degree at Temple University. The theme of this project is to combine natural beauty with modern technology and visually express them through unexpected objects. Fungus is thought to be dirty and dangerous to most people. However, from an artistic point of view, the various textures, types, colors, and patterns of fungi have much more charm than people think. What if this fungus, that everyone is averse to, could enter people's lives and show unexpected beauty? This one silly question led me to plan this project. Through various unexpected objects such as salt and pepper shakers, oil dispensers, and bangles, I hope people can observe the beauty of nature that they have not yet discovered.
